Hilary Mantel won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Man Booker Prize for Wolf Hall, a “darkly brilliant reimagining” (Boston Globe) of Oliver Cromwell’s emergence as a power in the court of King Henry VIII. Stunningly, she again won the Man Booker Prize for its bestselling sequel, Bringing Up the Bodies. The author of more than a dozen other novels and a memoir, she has numerous literary honors and in 2014 was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire. The Mirror and the Light, the final installment of Mantel’s Cromwell trilogy, maps the final years of the ruthless statesman who rose from obscurity to become the Lord Protector of the Commonwealth of England, Scotland, and Ireland.
Your ticket to the Mantel event includes the 6:00 p.m. event with Anne Enright.
