A.B. Yehoshua | The Retrospective
Described as a “kind of Israeli Faulkner” (New York Times) for his ability to depict the zeitgeist of contemporary Israel, distinguished novelist A.B. Yehoshua is the author of more than a dozen books, including The Lover, A Late Divorce, Open Heart, A Journey to the End of the Millennium, and A Woman in Jerusalem, winner of the 2007 Los Angeles Times Book Prize. A professor of literature at Haifa University, Yehoshua is the recipient of numerous honors for his contribution to contemporary Israeli literature, including the Israel Prize, the country’s most prestigious award. A meditation on mortality and memory, The Retrospective explores the relationship between life and art through the eyes of an aging film director, his screenwriter, and their muse.
